The second book in the duology, The Golden Era, following Triumph of the Superbug and the Rise of the Golden Era. Adventurous space explorers travelling through the Milky Way and even to the Andromeda Galaxy depict future life in the universe and the various humanoid inhabitants interacting with visitors from Earth and other planets. Mega-portal "tunnels" enable space travelers to reach planets thousands of light-years from Earth. Mercenary fleets are entrusted with maintaining law and order in both galaxies, a challenge across the vastness of the cosmos. The ability of interplanetary travel allows the people of Earth to emigrate and settle throughout space. They may find happiness in marriages with aliens and occasionally with androids, who turn out to be excellent spouses. Scientific ingenuity has tripled lifespans and conquered most diseases. This intellectually challenging sci-fi novel considers the consequences of space travel, and if it may be possible in the not-so-distant future.

Autorenporträt
"Short Stories from Life in the Milky Way" is the third sci-fi book written by Sonja H. Lüsch and her interpretation of family life in the universe. The author grew up in Europe and has always felt a strong connection to space and writes from a mature standpoint. Our beliefs change as we age and the author envisions Earthlings and cosmic peoples are more similar than different. Our looks may differ, but our habits and goals are probably much the same. Common sense rather than sensationalism motivated the author when describing the lives on various planets and the author wanted to share her viewpoints with the readers. Movies and sci-fi books may exaggerate lifestyles on other planets while the author perceives that many cosmic beings could easily integrate with humans on Earth and we are all tied together. The author has also written a duology called "Cosmic Life in the Golden Era". Book One "Triumph of the Superbug and the Rise of the Golden Era" and Book Two "Life in the Golden Era, Earth and Beyond" are available at Amazon.
