Autorenporträt
Carolyn Jean (Reese) Brown grew up on a farm in Northeast Texas--Paris (Lamar County). Her early education occurred at Powderly High School in a small community north of Paris. Carolyn graduated and received degrees from Paris Junior College, the University of North Texas, and the University of Texas at Austin. She continued studies at Texas State University and Texas A&M - Commerce and was an educator in four different states. Carolyn retired after fifty years of employment. She continues to share her professional knowledge and skills through volunteering in the community. She and her husband, Dr. Johnny E. Brown, live in Port Arthur, Texas, where they attend Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont. They have three children, two sons-in-law, and a wonderful granddaughter.
