Life is a series of intertwined stories. Some funny. Some thrilling. Some tragic. Some are epic, but most are average and ordinary. The stories of our lives are unfolding according to God's divine script. Often we're so distracted we miss the lessons He has for us. But when the circumstances of life intersect with the principles of God's Word, something miraculous happens, and we are forever changed. We discover that life's ordinary events contain God's extraordinary lessons. Jesus often used parables and physical examples to convey deep spiritual truths to his audience. God used ordinary things in the author's life, and events-a hamster, a microwave cart, a basketball, little league football, needles, a homeless man, and a pseudo-tumor-to teach him the life-changing principles of His Word. These seemingly unremarkable life events, in concert with God's Word, altered his life forever. They're what he calls "life parables," dynamic moments of change when God uses something physical to teach us something spiritual. Readers who desire to hear from God will learn from Life Parables how to receive His timeless truths in these everyday moments of life.
