Life skills are very essential to develop a healthy individual. These skills are important for every individual in their life time to live in this society to lead healthy life. Rural adolescents had average level of life skills and were significantly affected by demographic variables, medium of instruction, and place of living whether attended any life skills/ soft skill course but gender was not significant predictor.Parental education and levels of life skills of adolescents were highly significant positively correlated which notify the notion that education plays a crucial role in making parents aware of the needs of their children.Educated parents are more conscious about the growth opportunities for their children, hence they can provide a conductive environment to their children to learn and grow well. Emotional intelligence is important part of child development era and these skills enables the adolescent to develop very good interpersonal relationships and to have better social support.
