He, along with his best friend Amy, and his younger brother Mitch-are visited by Mary Margaret. Joe shares his experiences as the three are guided, by Mary, to help others. Through their Angel they view life from heaven, learn what it's like to be an Angel, and learn the importance of faith. Included in this edition is a bonus chapter from the novel "Don't Let Me Die Here"- During the Vietnam War Joe is guided by an Angel in which he learns what it's like to be in Heaven, views an out of body experience, finds love and is saved by the enemy. This includes Johnson's personal Vietnam experiences and actual pictures taken while there. Johnson's writing started as an inspiration from his grandchildren. He was raised in Indiana and served 31 years as a police officer with the Beech Grove Police Department in central Indiana; he retired as the Chief of Police. Prior to that he was in the Marines and fought as a combat veteran in the Vietnam War, for which was an inspiration and experience for the writing of his second novel "Don't Let Me Die Here." Others that have been an inspiration to him are his parents, his wife and family - and Father Vincent Capodanno, who he met while serving in Vietnam. He and his wife, Vicki, have four grown children and 12 grandchildren, to whom this book is dedicated.
