Autorenporträt
Bob, happily married to wife Stephanie, is blessed that his two sons and two grandsons live close by. Retired after 25 years as a local university academic, he resides just outside the Black Country, enjoying countryside views. Bob has written academic papers and professional body learning materials in the past, but this is his first ¿real¿ book. In his late sixties, Bob was struck by the fact that he had lived through a significant and sometimes dangerous period of history. Building on clear memories of his early years, Bob interweaves the mundane from a world that is fast disappearing and sets it within the context of significant events of the time. Bob is an unremarkable person who happens to have lived through a remarkable time of change. He has crafted his story, but it also echoes the story of every baby boomer. For those much younger, it is an opportunity to lift the lid on a time capsule, to open a door into another world.
