Rob van der Bijl is engineer and urban planner. He received his Ph.D. from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. For many years he runs an independent urban planning office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His practice is known for its innovative approach to research and design. He's worked worldwide on many mobility-related projects and transit-oriented developments. All his work is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach at the intersections of urban planning, transport, culture and technology. Moreover he is visiting professor for 'mobility and space' at Ghent University, Belgium. He published extensively in journals and books.

Niels van Oort is a civil engineer. He received his Ph.D. from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, where he currently works as an Assistant Professor in the Smart Public Transport Lab. Moreover he is a public transport consultant at Goudappel Coffeng with expertise in public transport planning and service reliability, the wider benefits of public transport, and data driven public transport design. He has contributed to the planning and implementation of several public transport projects in the Netherlands, developed new models for predicting public transport ridership and performance, and published extensively in academic journals and magazines.
