Far from being a single route, it is in fact a collection of intersecting routes, comprised of the Millenium Footpath Trail in England and the Chemin Anglais in France, which ultimately intersects with the St James Way in St Jean d'Angely. This book traces 243 kilometres from Winchester in England, to Mont St Michel in France. The entire distance has been GPS traced and divided into manageable sections of approximately 15 kilometres, accommodation is listed for the entire length of each section.

About the Author babette gallard was born in Shropshire, England, but has worked and lived long-term in seven countries, including on a boat and in a jungle. She has written anything and everything, fiction, non-fiction, some published, some lucrative, some not, including accounts of her 1 600km journeys along the St James Way and the Via Francigena on horseback. Now living in Johannesburg, she received her Masters degree in Creative Writing from the University of Witwatersrand in 2022. With her husband, Paul, Babette manages their publishing company for the LightFoot Guides.
