Roni Paitchel Denholtz has been writing and publishing for over 40 years. Her short stories, articles and poems have been published in national and regional magazines such as True Romance, Child Life, Modern Romance, For the Bride and Baby Talk. She is the author of nine children's books published by JANUARY PRODUCTIONS, an educational publisher. Her book "Jenny Gets Glasses" was named to the Favorites of First Graders list by the Reading is Fundamental group, which was spearheaded by the late Barbara Bush.She has published 25 romance novels, beginning with "Lights of Love," published by Avalon Books. She is especially known for the award-winning LIGHTNING STRIKES series, a paranormal series with characters who have ESP and other psychic abilities.In her "everyday life" she was a special eduction teacher in Dover, NJ teaching reading and math to children with learning disabilities and other handicaps while earning her M. A. and writing on the side. She then became a realtor and wrote part time. She has also done volunteer work in PTA, Marching Band parents and Robotics parents, plus she served on the board of her local animal shelter for 8 years, helping to save and rehome dogs, cats and even guinea pigs. She also taught "Writing for Fun and Profit" in her local adult school and many of her students have gone on to publish articles, poems and books. Roni and her husband and their dog make their home in beautiful northwest New Jersey.
