Born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1955, Gunnar B. Kvaran has a PhD in Art History from l¿Université de Provence, Aix-en-Provence, France, and is an author and a curator. Hanne Beate Ueland is curator at the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art. Grete Arbu is head of collections at the museum.
