That brief plane ride, nearly 60 years in the making, launched author and journalist Hildred (Hildy) Corbett on a nine-day odyssey to Cuba. While there, she experienced both challenges and victories, while discovering self-reliance, developing life-time friendships and growing to love Cuba's strongest asset: its people.
Autorenporträt
Hildred (Hildy) Corbett spent her formative literary years as a daily newspaper reporter. It fashioned her writing style and love of coffee. A graduate of the University of Detroit, Corbett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in Psychology. Completion of this book fulfills a promise she made during the Cuban Revolution: To visit the fabled island. She is married to designer Eric M. Johnson and has one daughter, a son-in-law and two grandsons. This is her second book.
