Qualified teacher with a B.ed in Primary Education from the University of Birmingham UK and gained an MA (distinction) in Screenwriting from Royal Holloway University of London UK. Worked as a primary school teacher and literacy consultant for Birmingham Education Department and Department For Education, UK. Supported primary schools as an independent literacy adviser, providing advice and support in English language and literature development and in English as an additional language.
