Water quality along with its physico-chemical and biological features represent a dynamic state of ecosystem, which require constant monitoring of water bodies. The study deals with the Physico-chemical and Biological parameters of Bellal lake of Bodhan,Andhra Pradesh, India. The work was carried out on monthly basis, to know the nature of fluctuations in physico-chemical complexes and their interrelationships with biological diversity of zooplankton. The observations on the zooplankton were made with reference to their indicator value, blooms and population density. Rotifers, Cladocerans, Ostracods, Copepods and Larvae of Dipterans were studied quantitatively and qualitatively with relation to the chemical factors in the lake on monthly basis. All the physico-chemical and biological examinations of Bellal Lake suggest that the lake is oligotrophic in its nature.
