Autorenporträt
Vivian Ward Crump is a short story author, first time novelist, and a teacher of writing. Vivian's passion for writing has always influenced her chosen career as a language arts teacher. As a writing consultant for two different school systems in Kentucky, she has taught writing to students from kindergarten through seniors in high school. She's led many writing conference sessions and classes for fellow teachers on the craft of writing. Vivian's middle school students are motivators in her decision to publish her novel, Lingering Soul Of The House, a young adult novel, dealing with paranormal happenings, romance, and the problems that teenagers face in today's world. Vivian's first novel is of familiar territory. It takes place in her hometown of Salyersville, Kentucky, which is located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Vivian grew up on a farm similar to the one she describes in Lingering Soul Of The House. The paranormal events in the story are happenings that were reportedly true of her grandmother's house. The family home is still occupied by relatives in eastern Kentucky and she remains fearful of being alone in the house even after all these years. You will find Vivian living in Shelbyville, Kentucky with her family and her faithful dog, Shelby, who has decided it's her job to sit close by while Vivian works on her writing.
