Through his poems it is attempted to analyse how language can break the linguistic norms and yet be communicative and effective. cummings is a deviant poet not only for the sake of deviation but to communicate some extra-textual significance to a discerning eye. His reality is too intense and powerful that a regular form is unable to capture its bewildering power only his deviant style can create an astonishing reality, that surpasses all limitations

Dr. Samina Azhar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences , Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. She has over twenty years of teaching experience. She has also at taught at various prestigious institutes including IISERB, IIITB and RIEB. She has published several articles in academic journals.
