It's 1993 and Silas Agro is a successful twenty-six-year-old medical sales rep living in Toronto. But he is in need of money. Lots of it. His father has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and the cost of his care is about to rob his parents of their home. A chance medical sale by Silas to Marty DeMello, an aging ex-convict, proves fortuitous. Marty DeMello hands Silas a book on lost gold and suggests a business proposition. He offers a large reward to Silas to travel to the small Northern Ontario town of Tear Falls and find treasure. But it's not gold Marty DeMello seeks. He searches for his lost son, Chad, who disappeared nine years ago after an altercation with a local Tear Falls resident named Milt Tonkin. Silas accepts the offer and, with the help of his best friend, Ben, and his sister, Blessing, sets out to the remote mining town to find answers. Their quest to locate Chad immerses them into a web of small-town corruption and rumours of murder that has the trio risking the same fate of the very person they are looking for.
Autorenporträt
Bruce Eberts has always had a gift for storytelling. As a kid, he would entertain his friends after playing road hockey, and his propensity to captivate his audiences continued throughout his life. When he transitioned into semi-retirement a few years ago, he finally had the time to put those stories to paper. He hopes his books will allow readers to forget about the stresses of real life for a while and just have a good time. Closure is Bruce's third book. He published Drip Castle in 2019 and Liquid Moon in 2021, appearing on Hamilton's CHCH TV station for each release. Bruce lives in Hamilton with his wife, two kids, and their energetic labradoodle, Sadie.
