As the title appeals, 'Listen Didi…' is a compilation of seven simple and small stories narrated in the form of women's conversations, abominably referred to by many people as chugli. It is taking place in a fictional mohalla situated near a fictional urban posh area called Vilasniketan. The mohalla is a slum that contrasts a fast-moving metropolitan area with a slum that is slow. Beneath this slow cluster of houses, slower women are running at their best possible speed. And these seven stories depict some of such incidents that they would most probably describe as ""it's every day"". Not necessarily but every story concerns distinct issues related to the lives of women such as domestic violence, sexual harassment, extra-marital affairs, love affairs, jobs, in-laws, education etc. in the backdrop of their underdeveloped social, education and financial conditions. Despite the meagre supply of opportunities and constant social conditioning, they emit a frisk flair of change. They show early symptoms of true feminism.
