The authors have extensive experience in applying the therapy; Jozef Vervoort, as successor appointed by Professor Alfred Tomatis, has run a Tomatis Centre for over forty years, recently with his daughter Astrid, being Josef's successor. He is also the leader of the large MBL-Tomatis network of the Mozart-Brain-Lab. Martien de Voigt and his wife Ann, in close cooperation with Vervoort, have about twenty-five years' experience. In total about 45,000 disabilities have been successfully treated by them and numerous therapists trained.

De auteur, met zijn wetenschappelijke achtergrond, heeft samen met zijn echtgenote ongeveer vijfentwintig jaar ervaring met de therapie en doceert ook ruim zestien jaar aan opleidingen voor therapeuten. Tomatis heeft hen persoonlijk aangewezen om zijn originele Luistermethode in Nederland te vertegenwoordigen. Dit doen zij in nauwe samenwerking met Jozef Vervoort, directeur van het Mozart-Brain-Lab, die door Tomatis zelf is aangewezen om zijn werk voort te zetten en daaraan leiding te geven. In totaal zijn ongeveer 45.000 probleemgevallen succesvol behandeld en talloze therapeuten opgeleid.
