This work, which was developed as a final product for the Professional Master's Degree in Literature, has as its theme the literacy process of children in the 2nd year of Elementary School. The work aimed to evaluate the contributions of reading activities of literary texts to the literacy process. To verify the contributions of reading projects to the literacy process, it was diagnosed, initially, the level of literacy and literacy of students participating in the research. Based on this diagnosis, reading scripts of literary texts were developed and applied to the research participants. As a result, it was verified that reading scripts are effective for the literacy process, because the texts written by the students participating in the research reveal that all of them concluded the year fully literate and writing more structured texts than the teacher would expect for this level of education.
