Journalism, which is a text system that shapes and tells stories according to its own rules, has intersections with literature, which is essentially the art of dealing with words. Apart from news, it is possible to associate travel writing, which is classified as "texts about personal life", as well as texts developed around the newspaper such as interviews, columns, criticisms, and essays, with journalism. So much so that all of the texts in question are described as "educational texts" and are written to provide information about a subject, to make people think, to change thoughts, to report something. Considering the intersection points of the texts, the study focuses on whether the travel writing genre can be evaluated as a literary journalism form. In this context, Azra Erhat's "Mavi Yolculuk" and Zeynep Oral's "Katmandu'dan Meksika'ya" are analyzed in line with their literary journalism features.
