This book specifically aims to examine the representation of women in some Moroccan feminist female writings and how marginalized women's traumatizing experiences are textually represented in some texts in Arabic, French, and English. Three feminist female texts are critically scrutinized and examined Leila Abouzeid's Amu l-Fil (Year of the Elephant), Noufissa Sbai's L'amante du Rif (The Lover from the Rif), and Fatima Mernissi's Dreams of Trespass: Tales of a Harem Girlhood to investigate how these female feminist writers conscientiously aspire to denigrate and denounce Moroccan asphyxiating patriarchal system. It is my wish to portray the way those writers have potentially sought to alter masculine depictions and to textually create a female-feminist space wherein to literary retrieve the obstructively concealed women voices as well as to establish a textual sense of agency and female subjecthood through self-expression.
