Dr Kumar has combined passion and erudition in the burgeoning field of Dalit Studies. His doctoral and published work points to his expertise in this area and his proposal of engaging in comparative studies of Aboriginal Indian and Australian Aboriginal materials speaks to the growing interest in such endeavours worldwide.
