Autorenporträt
Growing up in rural Petersburg, W.Va., Robert Fouch spent his childhood exploring the woods behind his house, hoping (and fearing) he would one day find the mythical Bigfoot. Alas, he never did, but he harbored a love for the massive creature through a four-year stint at Marshall University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in editorial journalism, and then through a newspaper career that eventually landed him at Newsday on Long Island. He has spent the past 20 years at the newspaper as a copy editor, page designer and occasional feature writer. With the help of fiction courses and a writing "intensive" at NYU with respected author Mary Gordon and former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, he at last found Bigfoot in the pages of "Little & Big."
