Emma Flint, geboren 1975 in Bonn, hatte schon vor ihrem Sportstudium ein Faible für Geschichten, die das Leben schreibt, und für Geräte mit Tastatur. Der Beruf der Kassiererin verband beides. Da nach Einführung der Scannerkassen diese angestrebte Karriere an Attraktivität verlor, blieb nur noch der Laptop, um beiden Leidenschaften gleichzeitig nachzugehen. Emma Flint lebt als freie Journalistin in Köln.
