It should have been the perfect holiday. When Julia Fearon arrives in Spain with fiancé Charlie and their toddler Hadyn, she is excited at the prospect of meeting his family and planning their forthcoming wedding. But Julia's initial happiness is short-lived as she is confronted with a clan in thrall to tradition, ritual and Catholicism. Unable to communicate, Julia becomes increasingly isolated and soon, lies from her past start to unravel, threatening her future happiness. However, all else is forgotten when tragedy strikes, and Haydn disappears on a day out at the beach. Whilst the authorities presume him drowned, Julia is tortured by the possibility that her child is alive - and has been snatched. Grief-stricken, Julia's world narrows to a desperate search to find the truth, whilst Charlie throws himself into his work in an effort to return to normality. Consumed by the fact that they may never know what happened that day, can Julia find the strength within her to let Haydn go? Or will her faith be rewarded with the truth? A mesmerising read about secrets, emotional bonds and the power of faith.
