ALLEN SCARBORO is Chairperson and Professor of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Millsaps College. NANCY CAMPBELL was Professor of Psychology at Birmingham-Southern College while researching for this book. SHIRLEY STAVE is Assistant Professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha.
