Autorenporträt
Julia Victoria (Vikki) Miller is 74 years old and has been married for 57 years. She is also the mother to three children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She resides in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and has just recently retired. Last year, Artist's Palette Durham Region started online tutorials for painting. It was something that Vikki has always wanted to do, so she began painting with Artist's Palette while being housebound. So, for Vikki, her dream turned into a reality. Vikki had been a cake decorator for many years, so it didn't seem that difficult for her to go from one form of artistry to another. As time went on Vikki got more creative and now has a house full of paintings, as do most of her family and friends! Vikki loves it, and one painting in particular was of a llama with a paintbrush, beret and paint drips everywhere. Vikki loved this painting and knew there was something special about it. Vikki knew there was more to this one for her. The more Vikki looked at it, the more ideas would pop into her head, and suddenly Lexi Llama was born. Vikki has always been creative (art being her favourite subject) and imaginative, (acting out plays for her parents, pretending to be a famous skater while on the ice rink), the dreams were endless! Perhaps from all the years of having to write essay letters to aunts, uncles, grandmothers and cousins gave Vikki a little edge in the writing department. This is the first book Vikki has ever written, and the outcome is something that she is very proud of. Vikki hopes that it will become a child's favourite, and perhaps yours as well.
