This report is an output of the collaborative research entitled "Assessing Local Adaptive Capacity of Smallholder Farmers in Selected Upland Farming Communities in Southeast Asia" which compost of Philippines, Vietnam and Timor-Leste. The aims of the research were to identify the field-level evidences and indications of climate change as observed by the upland farmers; identify the adaptation strategies being employed by the upland farmers to address the impacts of climate change; analyze the factors that influence the farmers' decision to employ or adopt climate change adaptation strategies; analyze the factors that determine the farmers' choice of climate change adaptation strategies; and assess the level of local adaptive capacity of the upland farmers in the selected communities. The result of the study shows that most of the community respondents are experiencing climate change impact on agricultural production. Among the observed evidences and indications of climate change are drought; heavy rains during dry season; strong wind; delayed rainy season; and delayed dry season.
