Why I write. To ensure that the changes which take place in our environment are acceptable. In view of this, it means finding a balance between the need for change and the desire to conserve or protect the environment of man. In the contemporary world today, a nation develops through the provision and maintenance of infrastructural facilities that facilitate and promotes socio-economic development as well as supports urban and rural dwellers in their production, distribution, and consumption activities. This study highlights the contributions of Local Government Council and Community-Based Development Associations in the provision of infrastructure in Nigeria, with a focus on Ilawe-Ekiti. The study probed into the improvement of the living conditions of the dwellers through the provision of infrastructure, Four sets of questionnaire were administered which covered the developmental projects of the Ekiti-South West Local Government Council, the activities of the Community Development Unit of the LG Councils; the Community/Quarter-Heads and the Presidents/Chairmen of the Community-Based Development Associations (CBDAs) involved in the provision and maintenance of infrastructure.
