N. M. Lokaale was raised in a town in Kenya called Kakuma which hosts close to 300,000 refugees from Africa. She has a LL. B., from the University of Nairobi. Currently is doing her Pupillage at the Firm of Chege Kibathi & Company Advocates in Nairobi, Kenya. She passed her Bar Exams and is awaiting admission to the Bar in December this year.
