The complex issues of peace and peaceful cohabitation between communities that are fuelled by police manipulation: identity stereotypes, prejudices, discriminatory power from the village level up to the high level, social fragmentation, ignorance, require deep reflections to address them and spaces for participatory and inclusive dialogue. This book aims to promote the efforts made by different layers of social leaders at the local level, the lessons learnt on voluntary commitment, awareness, the contribution of a "local peace dynamic" vis-à-vis inter-community conflicts towards collective endogenous peace solutions; an inspiration to be capitalised on, and in a stepwise manner to take into account the conflict and gender sensitivity. It is this inspiration that requires the support and strengthening of international actors towards a balanced and sustainable partnership approach.
