Phil R. Piccigallo has been the CEO of the Sons of Italy Foundation, the oldest and largest organization representing Americans of Italian heritage in US for nearly 3 decades. He holds a BA and MA in economics and history from Brooklyn College, and a PhD in history and international affairs from the City University of New York. He is widely published, with a book on Japan, and numerous articles in scholarly journals and in leading newspapers. He has traveled to many countries around the world, and has visited Italy numerous times.
