Federico Peiretti, además de ser profesor emérito de matemáticas, es un periodista y escritor italiano de renombre internacional. Ha publicado más de veinte libros sobre matemáticas e informática y su labor de divulgación fue reconocida en 2004 con el prestigioso premio Pitágoras. En la actualidad es Director de Polymath y Vicepresidente de la Associazione Subalpina Mathesis.
