Even with its many successes, Lombard College would fall victim to the Great Depression in 1929. All was not lost though; the memories and people of Lombard College live on through photographs.

Author Shaun Dauksas, a graduate of Governors State University, has a passion for local history. After a visit to the once-standing Lombard Gymnasium in 2019, he took an interest in preserving the history of Lombard College. This book was written in collaboration with Knox College, the record keeper of Lombard College. Its large collection provides images of the people, buildings, and events that made the college special.
