Brian Dickson worked in printing and publishing for thirty-five years before retiring in 2000. Since retiring he has become a railway author and volunteer fireman and driver at a heritage railway.Born in 1917, Ron Buckley has been photographing railways since the age of 15. He joined the LM&SR as a wages clerk in 1934 and retired in 1977 after over forty-two years' service with the railways. London Midland Steam is their sixth book in a series documenting the much-missed steam railways of Great Britain.
