In this paper, the concept of loneliness is explored in the works of two great writers of European and Latin American literature, Albert Camus and Ernesto Sábato. This work was developed thanks to a comparative analysis of The Stranger and On Heroes and Tombs where the most relevant aspects that intertwine the two works around different concepts of loneliness are mentioned. Favio Sarmiento si è laureato in spagnolo e letteratura presso l'Universidad Industrial de Santander e ha conseguito un master in letteratura e culture europee presso l'Université Lille 3-Charles de Gaulle. Attualmente il professor Sarmiento sta svolgendo un dottorato di ricerca in Letteratura e Spagnolo presso l'Université de Rouen Normandie.
