Adulting is tough, and while people tend to joke about how hard it can be, that's where the discussions usually end. There is so much the world does not prepare us for, much less how to interact at the adult level. Let's face it, we aren't kids anymore! Things can get complicated, and since we don't magically wake up on our 18th birthdays knowing how to be adults, we end up having to learn through trial and error. But what if there was something that could help? This book is a journey through personal growth that discusses the harsh truths of being a grown-up dealing with other grown-ups, in a world where adults are just supposed to know how to adult! It explores a series of lessons learned and provides advice meant to help navigate our way as we grow and develop connections with others. Whether you're a young adult or a seasoned veteran, there's something here for everyone. Conversational, and at times even motivational, the chapters ahead deliver kernels of knowledge sprinkled with friendly reminders, reality checks, and a little humor.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Aline Geryes is a first-time author who hopes to positively impact the lives of others with her writing. Coming to the U.S. from war-torn Beirut, Lebanon at the age of three, and not speaking a word of English until after she entered grade school, she was granted an opportunity at a more stable life. After becoming the first in her family to earn a high school diploma, Aline continued her education and graduated Cum Laude from The College of William & Mary in Virginia. She is currently a high school educator, teaching both British Literature and photojournalism classes. Aline still calls Virginia home and is also the owner of a small photography business, which has allowed her to further explore her passion for portraiture and work with clients in her spare time. She is a candid and passionate individual who doesn't believe in gatekeeping information, not only because she is a teacher, but because she is a proud mom to two children of her own. Aline has made it her mission to share the things that she wishes she would have known earlier in life with anyone willing to listen, while she makes a long story short, of course - or vice versa, as the case may be.
