Autorenporträt
Cornelius Ryan (1920 - 1974) war im Zweiten Weltkrieg als Kriegsberichterstatter für die US-Armee tätig. Ryan war nach dem Krieg Honorarprofessor für Literatur an der Ohio University, wo heute noch die Cornelius Ryan Collection in der Alden Library beheimatet ist.
