Orthodontic diagnosis is a process with a clinician developing the problem list . The goal of diagnosis and treatment planning in orthodontics is to plan a course of treatment based on the initial condition of the patient's problem(s) (i.e., a problem list) and the "end of treatment" goal determined by the patient (or parents) and the orthodontist. This book is an effort to comprehensively summarize how to diagnose any orthodontic case. It highlights factors that need to be taken into consideration for treatment planning.
