Telling Your Story Can Bring God Glory Take an honest look at yourself in the mirror. What do you truly see? Yes, you see your reflection. Obviously, you see the clothes you are wearing or how your hair looks. Mirrors give us an honest reflection of ourselves. Sometimes, we need to be honest about ourselves and what we see. Having Jesus in our lives is like having a mirror. Jesus gives us an honest reflection. Sometimes, we define ourselves by the dysfunctions we see in the mirror and use filters to hide them. What dysfunctions are you trying to filter today? What dysfunctions have you been defined by? Maybe you see yourself as too ugly, lonely, having no friends, etc. God sees what you are trying to filter, and you don't have the power to change how God sees you. When I was in third grade and lost my hair to alopecia, I looked in the mirror many nights and felt embarrassed of myself. I could not stand the sight of my new look. I tried to hide my look from others by wearing hats to school, and any time I went out in public. I was very self-conscious of myself. Years later, I am finally looking honestly at myself in the mirror and sharing my story to bring God glory.
