Barbara J Alger, daughter of Richard and Alice Hazaert from Glenmore Wisconsin, attended Denmark High School class of 75. Barbara is now married to Dale Alger and resides in New London Wisconsin. Before retiring, Barbara served as a receptionist at All Saints Catholic School in Denmark, Wisconsin. Prior to that, she dedicated the majority of her adult life to caring for the elderly and individuals with special needs. Her journey in helping others began during her volunteer work at the Brown County Mental Health Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. There, she taught portrait drawing to troubled youth, aiming to enhance their self-esteem and life skills. Barbara also spent considerable time teaching portrait drawing and ceramics painting at the Brown County Shelter Care, working closely with troubled teens.Barbara attributes her creativity to her father, Richard Hazaert, a talented writer, poet, and wood carver. Inspired by his example, she delved into painting, crafting, and writing books and poetry many years ago. Two years ago, Barbara decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a children's book author. Drawing on her extensive experience working with young people, she is dedicated to creating books that inspire and delight children of all ages.Since then, Barbara has written and illustrated more than a dozen full-color rhyming picture books for children. As a self-taught publisher, author, and illustrator, Barbara founded her own company, Wonderville Road Publishing LLC.
