In the spirit of preservation, the contributors to this volume have had the foresight to save photographs and memorabilia of Loomis for future generations. In this collection of vintage imagery, the Loomis Basin Historical Society shows a compelling view of early agricultural endeavors, railroads, mining, schools, and commerce in this foothill town. Most images are from the historical society's own archives, and some come from private collections of descendants of the original Gold Rush settlers.
