Author Jack E. North, owner of North's Funeral Home, has lived and worked in Abilene his entire life. He has collected nearly 4,000 images of early Abilene and has shared them with over 80,000 people in his historical slide shows. He is the author of the following three books: Pioneers of the Abilene Area, That's My Coat, and Early Abilene.
