Born in the Bronx and living in New York for many years, Michael Gottlieb is the author of fourteen books including MEMOIR AND ESSAY, NEW YORK, THE RIVER ROAD, GORGEOUS PLUNGE, LOST AND FOUND (containing the seminal 9/11 poem The Dust) and THE LIKES OF US. In the Seventies he helped the influential Language poetry magazine, Roof.
