Autorenporträt
Hamilton lives in Southeast Florida and is a former English teacher. She has spent the past 30 years researching her family history and life in the Everglades. Her educational background includes a BA in English and coursework towards an MFA in Creative Writing. Hamilton has published essays with Heritage Press, Florida Living magazine, and the St. Pauls Review, and was a finalist in the 2017 New Letters Award in Creative Nonfiction. Her organization, Lifetales Media, offers assistance in recording lifestories and organizing those stories into print, providing descendants with a lasting memory for their families. In addition, Hamilton offers memoir writing workshops and editing and layout help for those wishing to publish their lifestories. Her motto is Preserving history...one lifestory at a time.
