Autorenporträt
Basabi developed an interest in writing children's books during her stints as a teacher of English. Her first three illustrated books were about the life and times of an adorable Maltese called Poochie who spent thirteen eventful years with her family. The character of Lottie is based on her pet Labrador Libby, who has a wide range of interests: chasing wild roosters, playing with squirrels and a neighbourhood cat, listening intently to family conversations and devising ingenious ways to wrangle tidbits during family mealtimes!
