Autorenporträt
Pj Sandz like Lottie Lostalot, has had an exciting, adventurous, and sometimes magical life. In her twenties, whilst gaining her Private Pilots licence, she met and married her husband. Two children later, flying had changed to sailing, and then to canoeing. All had their funny, exciting, scary moments! Her younger daughter found music, and so in her mid fifties, Pj Sandz became a drummer in her daughters band, and even played at the iconic Cavern Club in Liverpool. It was around this time, her younger daughter was given a late(mid twenties) diagnosis of autism. It was a lifechanging moment and explained her daughters huge struggles with life, society and living. A major shift in family life, retirement from forty years in the NHS, and an autism assistance dog called Jack have changed things for the better. Her elder daughter was now married with two fabulous children, and this prompted Pj Sandz and her younger daughter to write and illustrate childrens stories, some based on her daughters Autism struggles.
