Lori Haskins Houran has written more than fifty children’s books, including Next to You, named a Best Picture Book of 2016 by School Library Journal; Button Your Buttons, which received a starred review from Kirkus in 2020; and the soon-to-be-released Close Your Eyes, hailed by SLJ as "a perfect bedtime work."
