Harriman on his famous exploration of the Alaska coastline, the Harriman Alaska Expedition. Following this, Fuertes would travel across much of the United States and to many countries in pursuit of birds, including the Bahamas, Jamaica, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Ethiopia
