The book attempts to answer the question, "Why are we here?" It makes the case for an external, eternal God that created the universe as a laboratory where humans can decide (free will) if they want to spend eternity with God in Heaven or die with the rest of the natural universe in its final heat death. The book attempts to answer the question, "Why are we here?" It makes the case for an external, eternal God that created the universe as a laboratory where humans can decide (free will) if they want to spend eternity with God in Heaven or die with the rest of the natural universe in its final heat death. The natural order of things is to move from greater order and oneness to lesser order and multiplicity over time (entropy). New things become old, disintegrate, break apart and die. Life opposes this natural flow. It finds components outside of itself and builds a fortress that will hold off the mighty force of entropy. All other universal forces are subsystems of these two powerful, primal ones. If we can recognize them when we see them, we can counter their influence by applying the other force. Civilization is in a highly entropic state right now and it will take all of us working together in love to overcome its commanding influence over all that is happening. All of life is a series of emergences on the next highest level. Is humanity the highest we go? I believe that there is one more potential emergence for humanity, if we love enough.
